Life in lockdown: A new series of reports in the words of our customers

Life is very different for all of us at the moment, as we follow government guidelines to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives. Some older and vulnerable people are living in particular isolation, having been asked to follow shielding measures to keep themselves safe.

Although we might not be able to get together in our social lounges or take part in any of our regular events and activities, Care Plus is staying in close touch with residents who have been socially distancing during the coronavirus epidemic. Each week we make thousands of telephone calls, checking to see that customers have everything they need, offering advice or simply having a chat.

We love hearing about how some of our inspiring residents are coping. We are asking some of them to share their experiences in a special series of Life in Lockdown reports. They tell us how they stay positive what they do to pass the time and why the support they receive from Care Plus staff, volunteers, friends and families makes all the difference.

You can catch-up with those stories on our Facebook and Twitter pages as well as here on our website.  We hope you enjoy meeting some of the resilient, funny and completely individual people who, like all of us, are waiting for life to get back to normal.
