Summer Fair a rip-roaring success

Residents and staff at Vine Court in Cannock raised an incredible £1660.55 through an annual Summer Fair which has become an event not to be missed on the local calendar.

Every year the amazing fundraisers get together to host a day of fun in a great cause. Weeks of careful planning guarantee that the Summer Fair runs smoothly, with the volunteers collecting donated prizes and making sure that everyone knows about the event by delivering flyers around the local community.

On the day itself 20 residents ran their own stalls, offering everything from refreshments to gifts, crafts, clothes and games.

Alison Smith-Batten, housing and wellbeing manager at Vine Court said: “It was wonderful to see people so involved during the weeks before the event and on the day itself.”

As a thank you for making the fair such a huge success,  a celebratory party is being held for all the big-hearted residents and staff at Vine Court.
