What our residents say

My mom was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in May 2014. As you can imagine, this was a heart breaking and terrifying time for all the family. Mom had lived alone after using my Dad which added to the worry – how would she manage alone in the house she loved?

We had to find somewhere for mom to move to and our first thought was Pencric. We took mom to have a look around and she loved what she called ‘the hotel’.

There was an apartment to rent and although she hadn’t wanted to move, this was the perfect solution. Mom lived in Pencric from August 2015 until her passing in June 2015.

From the moment mom moved in, her needs started increasing. Nobody ever made her feel like a nuisance. They allowed me to feel happy to leave my wonderful mom in their hands. I always knew that they would drop everything for her, whatever time of the day or night she needed their help.

Pencric isn’t just a beautiful place to live. It was full of compassionate, loving, caring, amazing members of staff.
