Introduction:

Moseley Court is on the periphery of rural Essington Village. It comprises 50 bungalows, which are spread across Moseley Court, Tudor Court, Swynnerton Drive and Meadow View. Essington was a mining village and has remained small in comparison to other villages that have been extended. A short drive down the lane will bring you to the Cannock Road (A460) which is closely linked to Junction 2 of the M54 and Junction 11 of the M6.

Local Amenities

Although Essington is a small ex mining village, there are some local shops towards Meadow Drive and a local shop on the main High Street. There is also a public house and chip shop, with a hair dressing salon nearby. There is also a church and community centre just off the High Street. The village school, St Johns Primary Academy, also holds regular community events which are open to the village community. The village also has a pre-school play group, football and rugby facilities, and the 71 bus operates between Wolverhampton and Cannock hourly Monday-Saturday off-peak.

Scheme Facilities

Because our bungalows are dispersed over 4 roads, the communal lounge is a separate building and contains an office, large lounge area with TV and seating for comfort and an area designed to be used for crafts/dining. The lounge opens up to private communal gardens which boasts a barbecue for use in the summer months. There is also a kitchen and toilet facilities in this building.
