Care Plus backs the fight against heart disease

British Heart Foundation Bag it Beat it logo

Retirement living communities managed by Care Plus are backing the British Heart Foundation challenge: Bag it. Beat it.

Residents, relatives and staff will be clearing out their clutter and bagging-up good quality clothes, shoes, books, handbags, DVDs, CDs, homewares and children’s toys.

They will be trying to fill as many bags as possible during September, to help fund life saving research into heart disease.

“The change of season is the perfect time to have a good clear out and decide what we do and don’t need,” said director of care and support Les Clarke. “We are decluttering for a really great cause.”

Collection points are being set up in Care Plus retirement living communities across South Staffordshire, making it even easier for residents to Bag it. Beat it. Care Plus residents and staff will also be sharing photos of their decluttering triumphs using the hashtag #BagItBeatIt
