The comfortable home stands in landscaped grounds with peaceful views of the Long Mynd and the rolling Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty managed by the National Trust.
Accommodation is in fully-furnished, private rooms which residents usually like to personalise, to help them feel at home. All rooms include nurse-call systems and most have the advantage of en-suite facilities.
Personalised care is provided by a 24-hour team of registered nurses and dedicated care assistants and our local G.P. surgery provides a regular weekly service.

Healthy eating at The Sandford
We are very proud that The Sandford has been awarded platinum status in the Shropshire Healthy Eating Awards. This highest possible grade reflects the high standards and care of our chefs and kitchen teams.
Our menus are designed to be nutritious as well as irresistible.
Our emphasis is on great home cooking using the best, locally-sourced ingredients. Naturally, we can cater for individual preferences and dietary needs.
Facilities
Our comfortable lounge area provides a large sitting room and a television area which is perfect when residents want to enjoy those ‘must see’ programmes together.
In the summer the lounge is often open to our gardens. It is also the heart of a lot of our activities. Our activity coordinator likes to keep us all busy with visiting entertainers, exercise classes, games and popular events.
The Sandford also includes a light and airy dining room and a hairdressing salon.
